After rendering fifteen (15) days of service, the 122 beneficiaries, who also attended the orientation program which transpired last February 21, 2023, received their cash pay-out amounting 6,645 pesos dispensed by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) staff, today, March 16, 2023 at the New City Hall atrium.
Also, twenty (20) beneficiaries received their cash pay-out yesterday, March 15, 2023 after rendering 10 days of service to their assigned barangays. Each of the beneficiaries, the fisher folks and families affected by the Typhoon Paeng were identified by the City Agriculture’s Office and the City Social Welfare Development Office.
One of the beneficiaries, 51 years old Mr. Antonio Romarate Jr., a fisherman expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit of IGACOS for the provision of the assistance,” Pasalamat mi nga naay ingun ani nga program na ayuda na gihatag sa amo sa gobyerno nga na damage baya (naapektuhan) mi atong calamity nga bagyong Paeng. Magamit nako sa among pangkunsumo, pang palit sa gamit namo sa pangkinabuhi (ang kwarta nga nadawat.)” he said.
The distribution of assistance, Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program is funded by DOLE - IGACOS Extension Office headed by the Officer in-Charge Marlito D.
