IGACOS City Hall, January 9, 2023—"Ipadayun lang nato ang atoang trabaho isip public servant, isip dangpanan sa katawhan diri sa isla," said City Mayor Al David T. Uy as he encouraged the employees and city officials to continue striving and keep the resiliency during the first Monday convocation of the year 2023, hosted by the City Treasurer’s Office.
Part of the activity was the presentation of accomplishments and updates from the local government offices for the month of December 2022 by City Administrator Nieljun C. Esdrelon. Besides, Election Officer Faune V. Donga announced that the COMELEC registration is ongoing and will end on January 31, 2023. Registration is open from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and children aged 15 and older are now eligible to register.
Mayor Uy also gladly informed that the IGCS Police Station is now starting to release the National Police Clearance, making it easier for the Samaleños to acquire the said clearance.
Furthermore, a plaque of recognition was handed to the local government by Chief Statistical Specialist Pepito D. Amoyen of Davao del Norte Provincial Statistical Office. This is in appreciation of the agency for the support of Samal on the implementation of the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) Registration for the calendar year 2022.
