Island Garden City of Samal, once more, reaped the Seal of Good Local Governance Award from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and was received at The Manila Hotel by City Mayor Al David T. Uy, together with the department heads of the local government unit.
This proves that the City is in compliance with the criteria of the prestigious award from seven components: 1. Disaster Resilience, 2. Social Protection, 3. Peace and Order, 4. Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, 5. Financial Administration, 6. Environmental Management, 7. Tourism, Culture and the Arts, to ten, adding three governance pillars including 8. Sustainable Education, 9. Health Compliance and Responsiveness, and 10. Youth Development, which were thoroughly assessed and validated by the national validation team last August 26 of this year.
