Thirty-seven (37) police officers of PNP-IGACOS graduated from the 7-day FORM POLICE—Focused Reformation/Reorientation and Moral Enhancement for Police Officer in Line with Internal Cleansing Effort—on June 14, 2022, held at the Fernandez Beach Resort.
Police Regional Director of PRO XI, PBGEN BENJAMIN H SILO, JR., explained the main aim of the training, which he perceived to be very relevant for them as officers and accentuated the roles and responsibilities that must be actualized and portrayed as respected public servants.
"...The program is specially formulated to make you well-rounded public safety officers in the sense that we are good police dabawenyo in the eyes of the public; good man in the eyes, hearts, and minds of our loved ones; good person in the eyes of our colleagues and friends; and good human being in the eyes of our Creator..." PBGEN SILO said.
City Mayor Al David T. Uy, duly represented by Assistant City Administrator, Florencio Thaddeus "Niño" Valera, as well, congratulated the participants for completing the training and stated that the support of the local government in the initiation of Mayor Uy has been constant. He also expressed his gratitude to the officers for keeping control of the peace and order on the island, especially during the celebration of the activities of the LGU.
"With all the support that you need, the region and the LGU-Samal are willing to support, ang amoa lng diha is at least maserbisyohan nato pagmaayo ang katong mga taga-Samal ug mga bisita pud nato" Mr. Valera said.
The event successfully ended with a boodle fight of the graduates together with PBGEN SILO, Mr. Valera, Chief of Regional Learning and Doctrine Development Division, PCOL RITCHIE S BUCOL, Regional Special Training Unit II, OIC PLTCOL GRECEL A SAGPANG, and Acting Chief of Police of PNP-IGACOS PLTCOL ROMEO M ANGON, JR.
