The MOA Signing, done by TESDA Director General Secretary Isidro S. Lapena, Regional director TESDA XI, Engr. Lorenzo G. Macapili, City Mayor Al David T. Uy, Vice Mayor Richard Guindolman, PESO manager and Assistant City Administrator Mr. Florencio Thaddeus Valera, and the Launching of the LGU IGACOS-Run Skills Training and Productivity Center in Slaughtering and Butchering Operations and heavy Equipment Technology transpired at barangay San Agustin, Babak District, IGACOS on April 13, 2022.
Applause reverberated as City Mayor Al David T. Uy cut the ribbon of the run skills training and productivity center indicating the vivid realization of the Mayor’s vision which is to offer more employment opportunities to Samaleńos most especially to the out-of-school-youth, “Not only the butchery sa atuang bago na slaughterhouse but kining atuang heavy equipment technology. Tudluan ang atuang mga estudyante diri ug sa pag unsa ug gamit sa mga heavy equipment and of course pati repair, tudluan pud sila so that mahimo silang heavy equipment mechanic.” he said. Mayor Uy expressed his gratitude to TESDA and most especially to our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for his full support and great value to education.
Secretary Isidro S. Lapeňa emphasized with awe that there are only two Butchery and Slaughterhouse training centers, one in Sto. Tomas and the other one in IGACOS while the availability of the heavy equipment training facility is in only IGACOS. He commended the City Mayor for his aspirations for the city and benevolent visions for his constituents as he lead and initiate this milestone. “At diyan natin makikita ang concern ng ating mayor sa kangyang constituents. Because alam niya na ang susi sa opportunities that will come to a person, the residents of IGACOS is through training.” he said. The secretary congratulated IGACOS and expressed his gratitude to Mayor Uy and the Local Government “Maraming salamat mayor sa iyong concern sa mga resident dito sa Samal. Bihira ang ganito na mangyari na ang nag initiate is the Local Government executive….. In behalf of the grateful TESDA maraming salamat.” He expressed.
After the MOA signing and ribbon cutting formal ceremony, Mayor Uy with Secretary Lapeňa, TESDA and LGU officials visited the heavy equipment technology facility located at the Purok 3-N, Sitio Pasig, Brgy. Peńaplata, Samal District, IGACOS 37 units of different heavy equipment.
