Celebrating the grand culmination of the Government Internship Program, eight ( 8 municipalities and three (3) cities from the province of Davao Del Norte joined together to participate and celebrate the jovial occasion held at the Tagum City Historical and Cultural City, on November 7-8, 2023.

The 2-day event, facilitated by the Department of Labor and Employment XI headed by the Regional Director, Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy represented by Assistant Regional Director, Atty. Jason P. Balais with Provincial Director, Angelina A. Talingting, CPA, started with a symposium on Managing Plastic Ways conducted by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Environmental Management Bureau. Effective strategies for reducing plastic waste to greatly help conserve and preserve nature were emphasized.

A myriad of exciting activities were prepared on the second day of the culmination and with pride, the Samal Island GIP representatives dominated in every contest, bagging various awards and securing places in every contest included in the event.

Through the hands on management of the Public Employment Services Office headed Ms. Emmalyn Moriones, under the leadership of City Mayor Al David T. Uy, all of the exerted efforts, dedication of time, commitment and financial support poured out to ensure the achievement of a refined and excellent performance evidently payed off.
