The City Anti-drug Abuse Council (CADAC), led by City Mayor Al David T. Uy, strengthens the drug-free workplace program through the conduct of orientation and drug screening activities from August 14–16, 2023.

In line with the Department of the Interior Local Government (DILG) initiative, emphasizing the value of “Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan, or BIDA,” signifying a commitment to fostering a drug-free, disciplined, and productive workplace culture. The implementation of mandatory drug testing for employees signifies the local government’s commitment to uphold these principles.

In a move to ensure a secure and productive working environment, the government has conducted orientation for all departments and commenced mandatory drug testing for employees on August 16, 2023, at the City Health Office.

The drug testing was facilitated by the Provincial Health Office, Department of Health (DOH)-accredited laboratory, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). (IGACOS-INFO/Y/Photo by RConcepcion)
