By Air

Fly from Manila or Clark to Davao City, the jump-off point to the Island Garden City of Samal. Time travel is around 2 hours. You also have the option to fly from Cebu, Zamboanga, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, Iloilo, Tagbilaran and Tacloban. You can book your tickets on Cebu Pacific, AirAsia, and Philippine Airlines. For international flights, direct flights are offered by Singapore Airlines/Silk Air, Qatar Airways, Cathay Dragon and Xiamen Air. 

Upon arrival at Davao International Airport, you’ll need to ride a public utility jeepneys or a taxicab to get to the seaports. This is where you’ll need to ride a boat or ferries going to Samal Island.

By Sea

 At Sasa Wharf along Sasa Public Market in Km. 11, ride the motor launch to get to Babak Port in Samal Island fare is around P13.00 (one-way fare). The travel time is about 15 minutes long.

Another way to get to Samal Island is via Sta. Ana Wharf, ride a motor vessel to get to Kaputian Poblacion or to Talikud Island. Boat fare is P100.00 (per way) and it will take about an hour travel time.

By Land

Take a ferry vessel, via Davsam Ferries or via Maewess Ferries, here you will have to ride the bus or your personal car which will go onboard the vessel going to Samal Island. You can also just walk-in and pay around P10 to board the ferry. You can then rent or hire a single motor cycle "habal-habal" or tricycle to explore the island.
