Mabuhay Madyaw! Maayong pag-abot sa Island Garden City of Samal! Daghang salamat for choosing our island city not just your next travel and investment destination but also your home. You have become a family to Samaleños who share in the responsibility of building self-reliant, disaster resilient, economically progressive and pro-environment community.

The City Government values equity and inclusiveness as we respond to the community's need. Hence, we continuously strive to expand public service delivery through establishment of viable facilities, sustainable programs and projects and efficient outcome based customer services. This is made possible with the proactive participation of our stakeholders, partner agencies and civil society groups geared towards accelerated Economic and Investment opportunities for our people.

More so, Samal Island is a haven for leisure and pleasure, reward yourself with a well-deserved vacation in a day or two. Indulge into our sundry and fun-filled activities; climb the highlands of Puting Bato, bask into the island's 118 kilometers of white sand beaches; make your shout-outs at the deepest depression in Bito or say "hi!" to the thousands giant clams in Adecor; pacify in the cold waters of Hagimit Falls or smile back to the famous Guiness' Monfort Fruit Bats. Not to mention other natural wonders you,  yourself, need to discover in our island. This is definitely an experience you should not miss!

Also, fill in your buckets with our own sweet yellow mangos, our famous Samal monggo, coconut products and all other delectable delicacies that your family and friends will surely love.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), represented by Atty. Zerline T. Balleque, the Office-in-Charge Provincial Director of DTI Davao del Norte, and Mayor Al David T. Uy, led the turnover ceremony and signing of the Deed of Donation for the Samal Island Mini Food Processing Center on July 15, 2024 at City Hall.

With the theme "Bridging the future through transformative and inclusive education," years of hard work, perseverance and commitment to excellence at Samal Island City College have successfully culminated as the 218 graduates proudly walked on stage to receive their diplomas, marking the end of their academic journey on July 12, 2024, at the SICC Gymnasium.

Outgoing PMAJ SHERYL Y. BAUTISTA, Acting Chief of Police, and PMAJ ELFREN N. BARREDO, Chief of the Tourist Police Unit of the Island Garden City of Samal, made a courtesy call to City Mayor Al David T. Uy on July 10, 2024, at the City Mayor's Office.
