Island Garden City of Samal

This year's implementation of the Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) by the Local Government of the Island Garden City of Samal for the annual renewal of business permits and licenses has been a sweeping success. The BOSS was staged from January 05 until in the evening of January 20, 2010 . The enhancements to the BOSS from the previous years further helped the valued constituents of IGaCoS avoid the hassles in acquiring business permits and licenses because all offices involved, including national government agencies (NGAs) were stationed in just one place.

Taxpayers were also provided with free juices, water and candies. Queuing machines, evaporatiors/ industrial fans fans and TV sets were also installed in the area to keep the clients feel more relaxed and convenient while awaiting the release of their respective licenses.

Mrs. Elizabeth B. Luna, Licensing Officer, is very happy about the outcome despite the non-extension of the deadline. The Bureau managed to issue one thousand seven hundred seventy six permits and licenses collecting millions for the city. The process was speedy and well organized in line with the City’s compliance of the Anti Red Tape Act or ARTA.
