ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL – The public information office of the island had coordinated with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Task Force to strengthen the city’s antiterror drive.

Tarpaulins were set up for information drive in the four entry points of the island namely Babak Wharf, Ferry wharf, Kaputian Wharf and Talikud Island wharf including government centers, PNP stations, Task Force detachments, district halls, public markets and terminals. They will also place further information in coastal barangays.
The activity encouraged constituents of Samal Island to be vigilant and always aware of any suspicious persons or activities in their places and it also provided information on things to do in times of emergency.
The tarpaulins indicated photos of suspected local and foreign terrorists for the public to see.
