Saim, Torres top Durianman

Saim and Feelin Torres emerged overall champion in their respective categories at the close of the 3rd Durianman Triathlon, a joint project of Visit Davao Fun Sale and Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), at the Club Samal, Island Garden City of Samal (Igacos).

Saim of Unilab Active Tri of Polomolok South Cotabato clocked a total of two hours, six minutes and 36 seconds to clinch the men's division title over Banjo Norte of Team Omega Pro Cebu (2:08.48) and Jong Mahinay of Tribuddies Sante Barley Tagum City (2:13.05) who finished second and third, respectively.

Torres of Team Omega Pro Cebu, for her part, timed 2:49.08 to race past Madeleine Argosino of Team Herbalife Manila (2:50.35) and Catherine Arias of Team Santos Davao City (3:13.38).

Argosino placed second while Arias was third in the annual event that drew some 300 participants nationwide.

Saim and Torres both took home P25,000 while the next two finishers received P15,000 and P10,000, respectively.

The champions also received P5,000 worth of reloadable More Fun visa prepaid card.
