Island Garden City of Samal. The Island Garden City of Samal adapts an electronic leave management system for the employees in their local government.

Various leave of absences including sick leave, forced leave, special leave, maternity leave and paternity leave will be easily monitored and managed through the electronic system.

The system was launched on November 4, 2016  at City Human Resource Management Office, City Hall ground

The City Human Resource Management Office headed by Percenito O. Bustamante has input into the system the different types of leaves that their employees will be taking.

Through the system, employees can easily track or review their remaining leave days and those that they have already taken. It provides the employees the chance to choose the specific leave day that is consistent with the City Human Resource records.

Employees can log in and send a leave request which will be directly received by personnel from CHRMO. The employee, in return, will also receive a notification if the application has been approved or denied.

No one can be able to retrieve the information that has entered by the employee through the system as it is personalized and only the applicant can view his or her different statuses. If the employee mistakenly filled up some required information, she/he has to report to the personnel of the CHRMo office to correct the information.

The system will be installed in every computer available in the government offices where the employees can apply their leave and can view their leave balances.

“All employees should start and practice this Electronic Leave Application System so that we will know the efficiency and the reliability of this system. We will never know if the installation of this system is okay if we will not use it. The CHRMO will no longer receive any manual leave application, adding that by next year our Strategic Performance Management System - Individual Performance Commitment Report (SPMS-IPCR) will also be system generated.” Mr. Lea Planas said.

All Administrative Officers and designate Administrative officers attended the launching and re-echo the information to their respective office. Emma Samal Info.
